Twenty-one major U.S. health systems, representing 918 hospitals and over 1 million employees across 41 states, have committed to support the goals of the Paris Agreement and are proudly declaring “health care is still in.”

Jessica Wolff, Health Care Without Harm U.S. director of climate and health, took to the stage to make this momentous announcement. Wolff was an invited speaker at the We Are Still In Forum, an affiliated event of the Global Climate Action Summit.

In the lead up to the summit, Health Care Without Harm worked with the U.S. Health Care Climate Council to establish a “health care pillar” of the We Are Still In campaign. Health organizations in the United States are encouraged to join these 21 health systems along with 3,500 businesses, state, and local leaders, universities, and other organizations from all 50 states who are telling the world that the United States remains committed to forging ahead with climate action.
