Nobody wants to feed their babies lead, arsenic, BPA

Babies are the most vulnerable members of our society and require extra care and support as they grow in order to be the healthiest possible. Unfortunately, a recent study by the Clean Label Project found that the food and formula U.S. babies are consuming have high levels of toxicants such as lead, arsenic, and BPA.

The researchers tested more than 500 samples of popular baby food and formula and found that “65 percent of products tested positive for arsenic, 36 percent for lead, 58 percent for cadmium and 10 percent for acrylamide. All of these chemicals pose potential dangers to developing infants.”

The resulting white paper from the study is available to the public and emphasizes the importance of consumer demand and action around cleaning up our children’s food products.
