Health Care Without Harm and the Alliance of Nurses for Healthy Environments annually present the Charlotte Brody Award to a nurse who promotes and protects environmental health.

The 2024 honoree, Michael Collins, BSN, RN, is a leader in educating nurses on the intersection of climate and health, and advocating against the effects on patients through care and recovery. He served as chair on the Southern Nevada Board of Health Advisory Board for four years. Currently, Collins is the president of IndigenousAF, working to stop the construction of lithium mines on sacred Native Western Shoshone land.
