Harnessing the purchasing power and expertise of the healthcare community, the Healthy Food in Health Care Program strives for a food system that supports the health of individuals, communities, and the environment. We work with:
- Health care foodservice operators and professionals to provide training, resources, and technical assistance for developing foodservice operations that strengthen the public and ecological health of the communities in which they operate.
- Health care administrators to provide the business case for linking the mission of hospitals to activities that transform food environments and systems inside their facilities as well as in the communities they serve.
- Clinicians and other health professionals to provide training and engagement opportunities that bring the medical voice to critical food system issues.
- Allied organizations to aggregate market demand and political power to influence and accelerate change for a healthier food system.
