Nourished by New England is a month long initiative to help facilities celebrate Nutrition Month with a New England flair. Facilities from across the region will participate by serving and promoting locally grown products.

What does it mean to participate in Nourished by New England?

1. Facilities locally source and serve haddock, apples, carrots
   and/or leafy greens at least twice during the month of March.
2. Facilities complete a three question survey about their local sourcing in early April.
3. One or more representatives from your facility attends an optional environmental nutrition webinar that makes the connection between local and nutritious food and health.  This webinar will be hosted on March 1, CPEUs are available. RSVP's are welcome, register for the webinar today.  

What does your facility receive in return for participation?

1. All registered facilities will have access to a Nourished by New England poster to download and print to promote their work.
2. All registered facilities will be listed on the HCWH website.
3. Select facilities will be featured in a nutrition month blog posted on the HCWH website and the websites of partner organizations across New England.

Nutrition Month is a month long education campaign created by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.  This event has been hosted every March since 1973. More information about Nutirion Month can be found on the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics website.
